Datu – King

Ate – older sister

Sinigang na bangus – Milkfish in wild mangosteen sour soupΒ 

Adobo – a dish of chicken or pork stewed in vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, bay leaves, and pepper corns.

Kare-kare – stew with thick savory peanut sauce

Baroto – small boat

Manang – older woman

Kumare(ng) – friend

Nene – little girl
