The Night Lingers On
It is night
But the night lingers on
Because from your memory
I cannot move on
As I lie awake
I dream
Of your kisses
Of your embrace
As I close my eyes
I dream
Of your love
Of your strength
It is night
But the night lingers on
Because from your memory
I cannot move on
As I lie awake
I see you
Vivid and happy
Varacious and excited
As you kiss
Someone else
As you embrace
Somebody else
As I lie awake
I sob
As I close my eyes
I dream
Of love
Of strength
As the night lingers on
I dream
Of love for myself
Of strength to move on
So the night lingers on
As I try to move on
